Since the mid 1950s, the Spirit of God has rested upon a 72 acre tract of land nestled in the South Mountain range of Burke County in North Carolina.

From humble beginnings, God has raised up South Mountain Baptist Camp to meet the Christian camping needs of thousands of persons.

While the original dream for South Mountain Baptist Camp was for a summer camp for boys and girls, God's vision was much larger, and now South Mountain is a year-round facility that ministers to nearly four thousand children, youth, and adults each year.
